The Heart of AdvantEdge: Meet Chris Uribe, Account Recovery Team

Meet Chris Uribe, a member of the Account Recovery (AR) team at AdvantEdge Healthcare Solutions’ Lombard office. Chris has been at AdvantEdge for over 20 years, starting out in customer service answering phones and worked her way up to her current role as a specialist in managed care.

In her role as a Managed Care Specialist, Chris is responsible for a number of tasks. On an average day, Chris spends her time managing claim denials in accounts and recovery, searching for and identifying patterns and trends, making phone calls to insurance companies, investigating claims, and monitoring changes to fee schedules.

When asked what she enjoys most about her role at AdvantEdge, Chris said she likes that her job is not the same from day-to-day and the various challenges that come with investigating claims.

“The best thing about my job is knowing we are helping our clients. It is so rewarding when we are able to identify errors and rectify incorrect denials that result in payment for our clients.”
